Wash or detail? Here is the honest answer.
A lot of places call a wash and vacuum a "detail." At SOAP, our Executive Wash is what most people mean when they ask for a detail: hand wash and dry, wheels and tires, windows, a full vacuum with a compressed-air blowout under the seats, and a wipe down of the dash, console, doors and seats. It takes about 15 to 30 minutes and you wait in the lobby.
A true detail is a multi-hour service (shampooed carpets and seats, conditioned leather, polish, sealant) that most customers drop off. If you are not sure which you need, tell us what is bothering you about the car and we will point you to the least you need. Never a hard sell.
Clay bar treatment
Your vehicle is under constant assault from airborne pollutants. Brake dust, industrial fallout, acid rain deposits and rail dust all can adhere to your vehicle. These contaminants often contain metal particulates, which penetrate the clear coat to attack the paint below, then oxidize and allow rust to spread beneath the clear coat.
Detailing clay glides along the surface of your paint and grabs anything that protrudes from the surface. The particle sticks to the clay and is removed from your vehicle. Detailing clay also removes stubborn sap, tar and bug remains. Ask about our T-Day clay and wax special on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
